I have Dana 53 4.27 will the 4.09 work in it

Yes, but you need to make sure you put a 4.09 in the front differential too then.

I have a 63 Lincoln Continental that has the Dana 53 axle. Can the 4.09 work in my car? I noticed the gears say for truck application. I cant imagine why they would not work?

For the Dana 53 I see there are 4.88 and 4.09 gear ratios. Are there others available?

Sorry, those are the only ratios available.

Is this the same gear set that would go into the Dana 53 installed in a 1959 Jeep FC170?

If you have a Dana 53 with the 4.09 ratio it would be the same.

Are there gears available for a dana25 to match your Dana 53 4.09s?

Sorry, I don't believe that is available for the Dana 53. We do sell a SATURN overdrive that would give you more top end.

Hello, I have a 1947 flat bed 2wheel drive Willys truck with a clam shell type rear end. I can find no tags on it, I have put a V 8 in the truck and I need to change gears out in rear end. I am running 4500 RPM's to go 55MPH. Any suggestions? Thanks

That is a Timken rear end. On that rear end there really are no different ring and pinion options other than what is stock.

I have a 59 pickup with a Dana 53 rear axel, 4.88 ratio. Will your 4.09 ring and pinion (item #932723) fit my axel.

Yes it should but keep in mind you have to match front and rear ratios.

I have a 59 Pickup 6-226 4x4, it has a Dana 53 rear 5.38 , can I replace with Dana 4.09 to increase top end , and also replace my Front end Dana 25 Ring & pinion with something ????
