Do you consider the 46-64 Truck to include the FC150 or FC170? They all have the same Dana 53 rear axle, but, don't some of the trucks have Dana 25's or Dana 27's instead of the Dana 44 up front? Are there similar issues with the master cylinder?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, the FC's are different in alot of ways. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com to help with any questions.

I inherited an M38A1 with 11" brakes. As far as I can tell the brakes are from a 1964 FC150. Brake overhaul kits. 1959 CJ5, Measured across the brake shoes = 11. Have they have been swapped out at one time or another? The 11 inch kit indicates 46-64 truck, not the CJ5. I've already order the seals, etc. will they work?

You don't measure brakes across the shoes. Always measure the inside diameter of the brake drum itself (machined surface to machined surface) Please email us pictures of your brakes and we can ID for you what you have on there.
