How did the back of this passenger seat mount with only having one leg in the back?

The outer part of the seat rested against the front of your wheel well too.

I own a 1968 CJ-5 with the tool box compartment under the passenger seat. Does this frame fold to access that panel? Or does the entire seat flip up to access that. Right now we have a different seat that has to completely be removed to access this and want to make sure we can use that tool box.

The whole seat frame will hinge forward on the pivots at the front of the tool bin to allow access.
