What is the distance between motor shift and mounting hole?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
1 ¾" which will match your existing holes. No drilling is required.

In your opinion how big a deal would it be to update a 61 wagon to this style? I’ve been trying to get my cable style system working but having difficulty. No new parts available. This seems like an easier way to go. Would be happy to have drivers side only. Thanks for the help.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We have an electric kit for the Willys Truck and Station Wagon. But it will still require the cables. We do have restrung cables too. Its your best bet to make it work right.

I need both sides. Can I get 2 of these and run them on one switch?

Steve:
Yes you can. I added a resistor to a SPDT switch and made them a two speed wiper.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Im sure it is possible but have not personally wired up that way.

Im only using the 2 connections (- and +) I did run the positive off a switch. When I turn it on the ground wire is melting. I checked the wires to confirm before installing. Is the "S" terminal another ground but ran off a switch?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You have a wiring issue. Please email jason@kaiserwillys.com

Is the 12 volt wiper a multi speed wiper?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This is a single speed.

Do you sell a 2 speed model?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Unfortunately, not we do not.

I have a 1963 cj5. I bought this kit to replace the factory ones. The new kit has only one hole for mounting onther than the wiper arm. Where as my frame has 2 for mounting and one for the wiper, what do I do with the other hole in my windshield frame.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You could plug it or just leave it open depending on how you are using your vehicle.

The wiring diagram shows to have a wire run from switch to the "S" terminal. The wiper motor shows S - & +. There are only screw terminals for - & +. There is no screw terminal for "S" on motor. How do you wire the switch in?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
On these you typically just turn it on or off directly off the motor lever.

Does this come with one or two motors and wiper arms and blades

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This is one kit with arm and blade and wiring.

where do all the small pcs. go? i dont see a diagram for them?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can help on install.

since there is an on/off switch on the body or the wiper, why do we need a second on off switch? thanks in advance.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They provide it as extra. Typically most people just turn off and on right on the vehicle itself.

I misplaced the nut for the threaded shaft. Is there any way I could purchase another through website without buying an entire assembly?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We should have spare parts for it. Please email mike@Kaiserwillys.com But you local hardware store will also have.

The directions indicate a positive (+), negative (-), and Switch (S) pole to attach wire, I only see the positive and negative have the screws to attach to but nothing for the Switch. Am I missing something in the directions?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
These no turn on and off right on the motor itself.

Will the windshield be able to fold down still with these installed? if not do you have any that don't protrude out as much so the windshield will still go down?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, the shaft is cut to length or the motor spaced away so you will still be able to fold it down.

What is the wiring configuration for the motor? I see two screws...is the hot and ground hardwired...what screw is the hot?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
See the link in the item description. There are wiring instructions. Thanks!

Would this fit my 1971 CJ5 driver side under the windshield mounted?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This is for top mounted wiper on the CJ-5.

What i the degree of sweep or swing?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Approx 90 degrees.

Will these motors work on my 1951 M38 with the 24 volt system? Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, you'll want to use the 24V kits: https://www.kaiserwillys.com/windshield-wiper-motor-conversion-kit-in-24-volt-fits-50-68-m38-m38a1 Thanks

Do these have a switch on the back of the motor like the vaccum motors do or do you have to use the toggle?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
These is a switch on the back of the motor.
