I am rebuilding a 1963 j200 jeep truck with tapered rear shafts and keyway. Any idea if this will work on it? I still need to measure my bolt pattern but it looks to be 5" 5 bolt

I have a 49 Jeepster with a tapered rear axle, so this tool with not work. Are there any other options I can buy or try in order to get them removed?

It is for the 5x5.5" pattern 4x4 vehicles only. You would have to try to use a universal puller for you 2x4 vehicle.

I have a 1950 Willys jeepster 2wd. will the HP600 Hub tool work to remove the rear hubs. There is a note saying it will not work on vehicles that are 2wd with the PLanar suspension which I belive is what I am working with.I have tried everything I have and cannot get one of the rear hubs off.

If I have the newer style drum w/ the three screws do the screws have to be removed prior to pulling the drum? I don't think they do but this is the first time for me and I don't want to break anything.

Dumb question, but if I am buying just an overhaul brake kit with with drum/pads/cylinder, do I need this to pull the rear drums? If so, why in the world would they make the brakes to require this puller just to pull the drum?? I get pressed in half axles and the like, but brake drums?

Your rear axles are tapered and the hub will not come off without the puller. If you do have the later style brakes you could remove the three counter sunk screws.

Haven't been able to remove the axle shaft keys on either side of my 48 truck. The hub seems to have shifted too much. Will this tool still work? Also, one hub has no studs at all...

You would have to pull the hub/drum off with this before the key comes out. They get very stuck in there.

My rear hub on a 1947 CJ2A has two studs broken off between studs that are still in place (three good studs separated by a broken stud). Will I still be able to connect this to the hub with the three studs in a triangle pattern?

Have 2 jeeps, one is 1942 Ford, other is a 1946 Willys cj2a (no lugs on the one of the hubs). Will this tool work on both vehicles? If not, what is recommended by you. Need to pull hubs off of both jeeps.

I have a 58' Dj 3A Model. 2 wheel drive. The left side has the righty loosely, lefty tighty threads. The left side the opposite. Do you I need a hub puller to check the brakes in the front and the rear. I just replaced the shocks.

Hi, do you have a slide hammer for it also? My cj2a drum came off without the puller, but I can't get the axle out now.?.? I thought I could throw the drum and nut on, and then use a slide hammer with the puller. Would that work?

You will have to use a puller that pulls from the outside lip. We dont recomment them because you can warp your drum/hub.

I have already knoked the studs loose hoping that that would let be get the hub off but such was not the case. Now there are no lug studs to pull on does this tool still work wit h absent studs? If not how do I get that damn hub off?
