Willys Trucks

Willys-Overland migrated away from its standard Jeep styles in 1947 with the introduction of the Willys Pickup. The original trucks, models 2T and 4T, came equipped with the Go-Devil engine and a 3-speed Borg-Warner T90 manual transmission.

In 1950 the Willys Truck, model 473, was updated with the more robust Hurricane engine as an option and an updated gauge cluster. This Willys Truck model also got a design facelift with the distinctive V-shaped front end, and the truck steps on the side were removed.

Later Willys Trucks were introduced in 1953 and 1954, with the 475 and 6-226 models respectively. The 6 cylinder 6-226 remained in production until 6-230 Tornado was put into production in 1962.
