Questions & Answers
Questions: I have a 51 CJ3A and want to mount it on the top of the windshield, how long is the shaft that comes out of the motor Thank You
Question By: Carl Lefler on Aug 23 2016 5:14 PM
3" long shaft. These fit a number of Willys Jeeps. You have to space the motor out away from the windshield frame or some people will simply use a pipe cutter to reduce length of inner and outer shaft. I recommend using a simple tube spacer.

Questions: looks as if the motor shaft would require a spacer to use on the split window frame of CJ2A? does the kit come w/spacer? or what does one use for a spacer? thanks.
Question By: Anonymous on Feb 26 2013 12:00 AM
They originally used a spacer there. If you dont have them you can make them or some people just cut the shaft size down.

Questions: I have a 1949 Willy's CJ3a and it is pretty much all original except for a 12V alternator. My question has to do with the 12V alternator if I have to change all my electrical items such as gauges an lights an fuses an so forth?
Question By: Leroy Koral on Dec 18 2012 12:00 AM
Your fuel gauge is the one that will have to be changed. We have them as well. The alternator comes with a new amm gauge with it.
