Does these have the threaded ends.?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, it has the threaded end on it.

I have a Dana 25 front axle. The short side is a Rzeppa with screws to take it apart. The long side looks like a Rzeppa axle BUT has no screws to take it apart. Can you tell me how this side comes apart and is this also a Rzeppa axle?

Tom Wright:
If You have the jeep service manual (reprinted available from K/W) look at section M-8. If the cage retainer does not have the three little screws, you drive the shaft inward using a wood mallet if necessary to drive the retaining ring into its groove in the spline, permitting the joint to be slipped off the axle shaft. Mine had the 3 screws on both sides thankfully, but I can see this should work. Cheers, Tom
Willys Tech:
Yes this is a Rezeppa. Im not sure what you mean by screws to take it apart. You may be looking at an aftermarket lockout on your vehicle.

Will this axle fit in a 1952 M38A1 with out changes to the spindle bushing , and do I have to put a nut or snap ring to hold it to the flange at the end of the hub assembly. Im replacing worn out bendix axles .

Willys Tech:
Yes this is for all the vehicles listed above. These take a castle nut and cotter pin at the end of the shaft.

Hi , on stripping the front axle i see the the side shafts are not the same the short side is the Bendix type and the long is the Rzeppa type ,what should it be? My jeep is a 1949 CJ2A Please advise

Willys Tech:
One your CJ-2A someone has replaced an axle thru the years. It is common. Both were originally the Rezeppa style. They are interchangable either way.
