Rugged Ridge Premium Select Drive Locking Hub Set.

Lockout that front end in either 2x4 or 4x4 mode and save unnecessary wear and tear! These premium lockouts are made to last and come complete with hardware and gaskets.

Approved as original equipment by vehicle manufacturers and militaries world wide, these tough hubs are built to last. A hardened nylon center is used instead of metal to keep you moving in the rare case of a hub failure.

Questions: I have 1952m38a1 right side has a lock out hud with two arms that pull out then you turn them push arms back in to lock hub in . On left side No lock out hub?? Will the rugged ridge hub work on my m38a1 and what gaskets and parts do I need?

You should have it on both sides. That is unusual. Yes, this will replace what you have on there currently and get you working correctly.

Questions: I have a CJ3a with threads, nut, and pin that I really don't want to cut. They've had a pair of Superwinch lockout hubs on that need to be replaced. Are there any other options available without mod? Also, when I had the drum/hub assembly apart and replaced the nut and pin, I noticed that the axle "floated" in and out about a 1/2", or so. Is this normal? Thanks!

Chances are if you have a lock out set on there already by superwinch they have already been cut.

Yes, if your axle shaft has takes a snap ring at the end you are all set.

Questions: Mike, are you saying that originally there were no locking hubs on a 1946 CJ2A? The ones I have may have been added. I am looking at authenticity, however, I want locking hubs. I have one bad with the set I have and I am sure I could not find a replacement to match nor parts, so my best bet may be these new ones? I guess if I am breaking the authenticity rule by having them at all it doesn't matter which ones I have?

They were typically an aftermarket option and could have possibly been added by the dealer as a factory option listed. But its rare.

Questions: I have a 1952 M38A1 with passenger side bendex axle with no threads on the end and a rezeppa axle I got from you with threads and nut on the end.. will these hubs fit with the nut or will the threads and nut have to be cut off, or can the nut just be left off ,or is the threads and nut not not really needed since the bendex side axle free floats and is flush with the hub ernie

If you have the style axle that has threads on the end you will need to shorten them to allow clearance for an aftermarket locking hub set. If you take a snap ring no mod. is required.

If you have an early CJ-2A that has threaded ends on the axle shaft they need to be cut down. If you have a snap ring at the end then nothing is required.

Questions: Mike I am working on a 1951 CJ 3A It came with locking hubs (dont know if they work or not yet) afriend has a 1949 without locking hubs. He says to take it back to original but others say I will want / need the hub locks. We will drive around town may tow at some point. Any advice would be great.

If your towing I recommend disconnecting driveshafts...A lot of people do like the lockouts for that reason too. We sell the proper drive flanges if you want to go original as well part number: A868

This kit will work for you no problem. They original used drive flanges on both sides.

A868 is the part number for the drive flange and the dust cover is part number: 641920.
