i have a 53 m38a1 with 5.38 i would like to know if axle housings from a 64 cj5 would bolt to my chassis with out any modifications

I have a '54 CJ3B that with 5.38 ratios, I'd like to run 4.27, but I don't see a ring and pinion listed for the Dana 25 front, is there an option for this?

Hello, I'm looking for a replacement ring and pinion for my 53 CJ3A, the rear axle ID leads me to believe its a Dana 44. The original parts are both labeled Salisbury 43-8. I ordered a set from another vendor and those parts are labeled Dana 43-8, unfortunately the pinion is slightly larger and the ring gear does not line up with the bolt pattern on the gear case. I'm wondering if the Salisbury and Dana models were slightly different and where I might be able to locate the right parts? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have the pinion adjusting fixture or a different procedure for installing the right shims for the pinion? So far I think I'm only in need of pinion bearings, but would like to check everything while in there. I don't know have long it has been run with bad pinion bearing?

My friends are buying willys jeeps, and we are curious as to the axle ratio. Where do I look on the axle housing and what numbers am I looking for to tell the ratio?

It is usually stamped on the pumpkin housing. Or you can count the number of teeth on your ring and the number of teeth on the pinion. You can also get the numbers stamped on the r&p itself and we can trace it and tell you.

I have willys pick up truk 1954 Mod. 475 with 4.88axels set I want change axels ratio for lower ratios like 373 to ingres the speed. I want know if is pocible with the same axel case.
