Questions: 1957 willys military jeep starter drive does not go bad in and causing starter to turn.acts like a dead battery but the battery up and all ends tight and starters runs good on the bench all I can guess is the drive jaming the starter from working on jeep .starter numbers are MDU 70004 1S can you help thanks

Questions: Will this drive dendix fit on my 1967 CJ5 ? The part # of my starter is MDU7004 ? Any help would be appriciated

If you have a MDU-7004 then the proper bendix is 931463

Questions: Never done this before; how hard is it to replace the Bendix in a '61 CJ5? Problem: When I turn the key now, half the time the starter will spin, but won't engage; have to try several times before engages; am told that is the Bendix; that true?

It doesn't require any special tools.
