When I pulled my F engine apart, all the oil ports on the connecting rods were facing in the same direction the difference being the lock bolt for the piston pins were facing in different directions. Which way is correct? Also all the vertical slits in the pistons were all in the same direction. (to the right looking at the front of the engine). Is that correct? Thank You.

The easiest way to tell is by looking at the position of the oil port plug. They are in the opposite positions for the 1,3 then the 2,4. Thanks
