Is someone making a rebuild kit for this or is there an alternative fuel pump that can be used? Thanks, Rick

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We are making these new now and can rebuild your old one too if you like.

I have a 1962 Jeep truck with the 230 Tornado. Looking for a mechanical fuel pump and pressure regulator as mine is without. Please let me know if you can help. Thx. RB

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Unfortunately, we would not have a fuel pump for your engine at this time.

what is the fuel flow rate of the dual action pump for the L6-226 and typical discharge pressure.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please give us a call and ask for Mike M

what size are the engine mounting bolts on 226 hurricane engine for the fuel pump?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
See part number: G64540

Are your fuel pumps made in the USA ? If not where are they manufactured?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please give us a call and we can help you.

What are the inlet and outlet fuel line sizes for this? Are they both 5/16 from fuel tank to pump and 5/16 from pump to carb?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
See part number: A200

Mike, which end is the vacuum and which end is the fuel pump ? The photos show the pump upside down in one picture. It actually mounts with the wide part of the flange to the bottom. Is the fuel pump the one with the brass colored cover, or is that the vacuum pump ? Thx

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Fuel is on the bottom and vacuum is on the top.

Where can I get the cork gasket for the top cap?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You would have to make that.

I want to run electrical wipers. Do you have a single action fuel pump for the 6-226 SH engine?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sorry, only single action are available.

Hi Mike, A few month ago I bought a dual action fuel pump, I'm going to install it in a 226 Hurricane, question is, Air intake is located in the Up entrance of the pump? and Gas is located at the bottom? Thanks for your support!

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The large diaphragm is your vacuum and the smaller diaphragm is your fuel. Your hoses should all hook up like original.

do you supply a rebuild kit for 6-230 tornado fuel pump and vacum unit

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Unfortunately no one is making kits for dual action at this time. You will have to replace the complete fuel pump. Thanks

is there a single action pump available ? Im running electric wipers.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sorry, not currently.

What size and type of fittings can be used to connect the dual action fuel pump for the 6-226 ?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
A200 is the part number for the fitting.

Hi, I just installed electric wipers on my 1962 Jeep Pickup. With the 226 engine. Should I just put a plug in the vacuum port in the fuel pump? Also, do they make a single action fuel pump for this engine? Thanks.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I wouldnt plug it. If you are not using the other port I would runt a line between them.

When installing a dual action fuel pump, what size drill and tap should I use to connect the vacuum side to the wipers?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
These are already ported for your vacuum fittings. You dont need a drill or tap.

Hi, I need the fuel pump dual acction for Willys 1957, stake model, six cylinder. Thank you.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
OK, this will be the correct one for you 6-226 motor.

I just bought my dads 54 pickup with the 6-226. The vacuum side of the pump had lines that were connected to the rear of the crankcase and the other side connected to the back of the carburetor near the base. In that line there was some sort of regulator before the carburetor fitting. The wiper assembly was converted to electric years ago, so can I just remove the vacuum lines and loop them together? or a single action pump with a glass bowl be added? He has had issues with this truck for years and added an electric fuel pump to the system. Your thoughts?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Typically you would see a PCV valve inline. I would make sure you have some way to vent your crankcase if your going to do this.

I have two questions: 1st. I have a 1959 Willy’s Wagon 6-226 how do I know if it is a a 6-226L? 2nd my wipers have been converted to electric, can I still use this fuel pump? If so should the plug the vacuum? Thank you

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You cant plug the vacuum. You have to a least port them together. Take some photos and email mike@kaiserwillys.com and I can ID your motor.

Do you offer fuel pump rebuild kits, such has the diaphragms and gaskets for the L6-226?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sorry, i can only get complete pumps.

Hi What fuel lines do I need for the pump for my 1962 truck? Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No one makes the fuel lines for the Trucks or Station Wagons. You'll have to go locally and buy and pre-flarred lines and bend them to fit.

My old pump has a pump lever with a slide on it. I see from the pictures that your pump does not have a slide on the lever. Will this be a problem?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, that would just be a primer handle. It wont be a problem.

Does this fuel pump come with the gasket?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, it does.

What does the dual action vacuum run?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Typically your vacuum wiper motor and dist. chamber.

I have a 6-226 flathead and I replaced the fuel pump over 1 year ago. Have had problems with it stalling after it warms up and not starting. thought it was the carb. replaced fuel tank, fuel lines, rebuilt carb, replaced fuel filter. Could the fuel pump be defective? It cranks up cold with the choke pulled out and runs but when warm, upon shutting off motor will not start back until it cools. I have checked timing, points, condenser, coil, no change.I do not use the vacume wipers, should it be plugged

Willys Tech:
Alot of times you will find the carburetors will drain if you dont run them only every so often. When starting the vehicle you need to pump the accelerator pedal several times (not enough to flood) to get enough fuel back into the bowl.

I have a 1953 with F head 6. It has a Carter fuel pump that looks different from the picture which states it is for 1954 model. Will this pump work on '53. Looks like it will need fuel lines re-routed. I was trying to keep original.

Willys Tech:
This engine is a 6-226 L head. Sounds like you may have a 6-161 F head engine. That would be part number: 119482

Will this pump work on a 1957 FC170 6-226?

Willys Tech:
Yes that is correct. It is for all 6-226 engines.

Item # 735994...Will this fit a 230 tornado motor in a 1963 Willys truck. I have a dual action fuel pump on mine that runs the wipers. I bought a single action because I didn't realize the wipers run off the top side.

Willys Tech:
Part number: 930144 is the pump you want for the 6-230 OHC engine. This is for the 6-226 L head engine.

Do you guys fix fuel pumps thank you.

Willys Tech:
We typically rebuild the military fuel pumps and we have all the civilian available new.
