Remote Brake Booster Kit with Vacuum Tank

Finally additional stopping power for your Willys!!!! Get 2 to almost 3 times the braking power.

Convetional drum brakes generally create sufficient hydraulic pressure to be able to stop a vehicle when the pedal is applied.  But the chief difference and the major advantage of a power booster assisted brake system is the increased force that is exerted by the vacuum booster.

Applying pedal force increases the brake fluid pressure to the booster which closes the vacuum check valve and allows air into the back portion of the booster.  The mechanical pressure plus the air pressure pushing against a vacuum allows pedal travel with much less effort than a conventional hydraulic system.  Releasing the pedal opens the vacuum check valve and allows air to be purged from the canister for the next brake appiication.

A standard drum brake pressure is about 250-300 psi of braking pressure.  The addition of the booster can incrase this to just under 800 psi of braking pressure.

The addition of the extra vacuum tank is for reserve vacuum which will assist in the operation of the booster and vacuum wipers if so equipped.

We have furnished a remote vacuum tank that will assist in the reserve vacuum for the brake booster as well as more vacuum for the vacuum wipers if your vehicle is so equipped.  This should be installed in between the vacuum source and the booster.

Questions: Hello, I am restoring a 1953 CJ-3a. I would like to go to disk brakes on the build. is there a booster setup available that works with your disk brake conversion kit?
Question By: Leland Redfern on Jan 5 2018 5:10 PM
No, this booster is for drum / drum brakes only. I dont have a booster kit that is for disc brakes. Really if you use our disc kit they should have good braking power with our disc dual reservoir master cylinder kit.
