Questions: If fluid is leaking out of the speedometer cable and this housing area for 47 willys cj, how does replacing this seal? Are there o-rings, etc built in?
Question By: JOSH on Mar 27 2020 6:11 PM
There really is no seal there. So either the transfer case is over filled or your missing/clogged the vent part number: A934 due to pressure build up.

Questions: Do I need product number A1511 also if I purchase this? I disconnected the cable today and spun the tab. The needle on the speedometer flicked up in relation to me spinning the tab. I removed the insert where the cable connects and tried pulling the gear out. It was loose but didn't come out. I decided not to force things at that time. I just want to make sure I'm buying everything I need to replace the internals of the speedometer system at the transfer case. With my luck it's probably just the cable itself. HA

Question By: teeRoy on Jul 23 2017 6:55 PM
I don't think there will be much you can do about your speedometer being off. There really are not many options on the speedometer drive / driven gears. Only what is original is available.
