what kind of glue to put on gasket for transfer case bottom cover?

Is this gasket, paper or cork? I heard that an after market pan is available that will not " warp " and can help keep this from leaking. Can you recommend a good silicone gasket adhesive ?

What weight gear oil do you use for the transfer case and rear differentials? A local guy told me to use 85/140 weight oil but that seems really dense. Thanks.

For the transfer case you should use 90 weight. And for the axles, just heavy duty axle grease should do it. Thanks!

Hello folks I have a 1944 GPW that has not been run in some time. I don't know the service history so I'm changing all fluids before I take it on the road, It looks like I have leaks from the transfer case pan and PTO cover. Can I remove these covers for new gaskets as well as to look at the inside components ? Are these basic repairs that don't compromise any other part etc. Thanks
