The connector shaft to the oil pump should just slide straight out.

Questions: I have a 1954 wagon with the Hurricane 6-226 engine. The current distributor that is in it is an Auto-Lite IAT 4019. Will this distributor work as a replacement? It is a 6 volt system. Thanks, John
