You will press your old hubs apart and press them onto the new drums with a hydraulic press. We have new hubs as well if need be.

Your stock rims should work fine. Yes you will need new backing plates to run 11 brakes on a CJ-3A.

You don't measure brakes across the shoes. Always measure the inside diameter of the brake drum itself (machined surface to machined surface) Please email us pictures of your brakes and we can ID for you what you have on there.
