Questions: Is the backing plate available seperately? The backing plate on my '55 CJ5 is damaged but the rest of the parts are in good condition.

Questions: Hi, will this assembly work on a 1954nM38A1?
Question By: Joel Allen on Dec 8 2020 9:59 PM
The M38A1 used a different set up. See diagram: https://www.kaiserwillys.com/diagram/m38a1-diagrams/brake-diagrams-willys-m38a1/emergency-brake-exploded-view-52-71-m38a1/emergency-brake-m38a1

Questions: Do you sell just the piece from the backing plate that holds the brake shoes in place? In the first picture of this item page, its at the bottom opposite of the "Emergency Brake Shoe Adjuster Bracket" and appears to be comprised of three parts: A larger back plate, a smaller square front plate, and a nut/bolt that holds those pieces to the backing plate. When installed, it's on the passenger side of the vehicle. It's not broken out on any diagram I've seen so I don't know what exactly to call it.

Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can help out with this as well. Also see our shop by diagram section too.

Questions: I have a 1952 Willys pickup. Do you have the hardware for the emergency brake that goes in the rear drums and a diagram how its installed.
Question By: Mike Shope on Aug 9 2020 3:35 AM
Questions: Do you sell a complete kit of ALL parts required to put an emergency brake back on a CJ2a? From the drum, to the backing plate, handle, etc? Offer a diagram on installation? I am starting with zero parts.
Question By: Trent Watrous on Jun 1 2020 11:45 AM
Questions: I may be acquiring two 1951 CJ3A's in the very near future. While looking at your website, I found that you have front and rear disc brake conversion kits. I was wondering if your emergency brake kit will work with the rear disc brakes, or will I need to find another way to install the emergency brake. Thank you for your time, Kenny Wright West Virginia
Question By: Kenny Wright on Jun 19 2018 4:29 PM
The disc kits dont effect the emergency brake on the CJ-3A. Your emergency brake is transfer case mounted.
