Questions: can I change from a 6volt system to a 12 volt system? will the current hardware work and just change the bulbs to 12 volt. does it affect the distributor or starter? I am aware that I will replace the generator with an alternator.
Question By: gregg on Sep 12 2014 12:00 AM
You will want to get part number: ALT12V and our 12 volt coil. The starter will be ok for a while but will eventually burn out. We have new 12 volt hi-torque starters too. The distributor will be fine.
