Questions: On my 1946 CJ2A, a have an Auto-lite IGW 4189 2C distributer. Does the tune up kit fit it? My points don't seem to be the same model.

They work on both 6 and 12 volt.

Questions: Do you have what I believe is a resister. It is mounted on the firewall. The distributor wire is attached to one side and the coil is attached to the other side. I know I need it because without it,it fries the points.

There should be a plate on the distributor itself. Right under the cap. Thanks

The IAD4008 distributor will work on either 6 or 12 volts.

There should be a metal tag on the distributor. Sometimes they can be hard to see.

The distributors work on either voltage.
