They fit on a 2.25" opening at the carburetor.

If you have a WA1 or WO carburetor on there it would, but typically you would have a YF on that year.

No they are totally different. We do offer the complete oil bath air cleaner too new.

Take the wire mesh guts out of the oil bath and use a filter for a 97 Ranger pickup with a V6 in it. works great.

They originally used an oil bath air cleaner. You would need to go back and use that. 809785 clamps to the top of the solex 923808.

Questions: I have a 47 JEEP truck, the oil bath filter was cut a part by previous owner. I have everything from the carb to the gutted filter. I thought of installing a paper filter in the canister, giving it the original look. Concerned about air flow. Any thoughts on this matter. I was thinking of an elbow in the canister with a filter attached.

If you have either of the carburetors listed above this dry element filter will be correct for you.

These are only for the vehicles listed above. The mounting is different on the YF carburetors.
