If i purchase the starter with solenoid, can i simply remove the solenoid and hook up for a floor push button start?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It would be unusual to do it this way. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com more vehicle information and we can help.

will this work on a 129 Tooth flywheel ring

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, that is correct.

I have a M170 with 4-134 F head. It has been converted to a six volt system. I was wondering what starter would fit my jeep? Would this item number 925520 work for me?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com your old starter motor numbers and flywheel tooth count. We can try to match from there.

I do not have a matching core to send in, but I do have other starters which won't fit my bell housing - is it an exchange or do you actually rebuild the core sent in? (my jeep is CJ3B and starters are from L134 engines)

Willys Tech:
We try to rebuild customers vehicles. If you don't have a core I can usually locate one for you. Please call us toll free.

Can i use Auto Lite instead of a Delco Remy in my 1959 CJ 5? What is different?

Willys Tech:
Auto lite is what was typically used on those vehicles.

I have a MZ4162 starter from a cj3b, mechanical engagement into the flywheel. Id like to change it to a key start. My question will a starter with a bendix fit into the bellhouseing that I have or must I change the starter and bellhousing

Willys Tech:
You have to make sure you are matching apples to apples. If you are running 12volt we have hi-torque starters that will do this. Please call me toll free and I can go over some options with you.
