Questions: I do not have a matching core to send in, but I do have other starters which won't fit my bell housing - is it an exchange or do you actually rebuild the core sent in? (my jeep is CJ3B and starters are from L134 engines)

Auto lite is what was typically used on those vehicles.

Questions: I have a MZ4162 starter from a cj3b, mechanical engagement into the flywheel. Id like to change it to a key start. My question will a starter with a bendix fit into the bellhouseing that I have or must I change the starter and bellhousing

You have to make sure you are matching apples to apples. If you are running 12volt we have hi-torque starters that will do this. Please call me toll free and I can go over some options with you.
