Questions & Answers
Questions: Putting the engine and transmission into the frame of my 3B and I cannot get all the mounts to line up. When the motor mounts are lined up the tailshaft of the transmission is almost an inch to the passenger side off of the transmission mount. The trans mount plate only goes on one way (the turned down lip to the front). Is there a trick or something to getting the mounts to line up or is the frame potentially bent? Any ideas?

You may be missing the original spacer plate between the transmission and cross member or possibly have the wrong front engine mounting plate on there. Email email@example.com and we can try to help you.

Questions: I bought a 51 cj3a last week. The previous owner began installing a 4 cyl 134f engine in it. It has no motor mounts or brackets to attach them to. He did a 3" body lift to accommodate the taller motor. What do I need to finish the engine install?? Everything else is bolted up and ready to go. Motor is hooked up to tranny. Engine is just resting on the skid plate. Do I use the same radiator? Anything else to watch out for??

Questions: Do these insulators mount directly to the frame or do they fit into some kind of metal mounting bracket?

There are brackets that are welded/riveted to the frame that they mount on.
