Typically you have the 802061 and 802062 shackles and the 359039 and 384228 pivot eye bolt and bronze bushing.

That will be tough. Really there is no advantage to switching over. I would stick with the C-shackles.

They never used rubber grommets in a CJ-3A. This brass bushing just slides in on the pivot eye end.

Questions: I have a 1949 CJ3A, putting on new springs in front. Stupid question, does the bronze bushing go to the front of the jeep (shackel end) or to the rear (pivot eye bolt end).

The bushing is the rear of the front leaf springs for the pivot eye end. It is the front of the rear leaf springs for the pivot eye end.
