Questions: I have a '53 cj3a.What do I need to convert to the cj5 type shackles from the c type
Question By: Gary on Dec 20 2014 12:00 AM
That will be tough. Really there is no advantage to switching over. I would stick with the C-shackles.

Questions: I have a 51 cj3a do I need a rubber grommet along with this bushing or does the brass bushing just slide in to the leaf spring thanks for your time
Question By: Anonymous on Oct 6 2014 12:00 AM
They never used rubber grommets in a CJ-3A. This brass bushing just slides in on the pivot eye end.

Questions: I have a 1949 CJ3A, putting on new springs in front. Stupid question, does the bronze bushing go to the front of the jeep (shackel end) or to the rear (pivot eye bolt end).
Question By: Phil on Mar 26 2014 12:00 AM
The bushing is the rear of the front leaf springs for the pivot eye end. It is the front of the rear leaf springs for the pivot eye end.
