Questions: Hi, I have just replaced all the gaskets and seals in the gear box and transfer case of my 3 speed CJ3b. When i test drove it, both the front and rear transfer case prop shaft seals were leaking. THere seems to be no evidence of damaged seals or similar. I was wondering if i over filled the transfer case. Does the fill hole also represent the full level? Seems like the fill hole is above the output shaft level, which makes the seals work harder so to speak. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Rob

If you didnt put some silicone on the front and rear output yokes splines then you tend to leak from there. I would apply a thin layer on the splines and also make sure you have your vent installed ontop of the case as well part number: A934

In that year its 1-1/4" the way to confirm is just look on the backside of the case and measure the intermediate shaft in the middle that is held in place with the lock tab.
