Questions: I have a 1954 M38A-1 "D type" which had the spare tire mounted FORWARD on the passenger side. (this model had the Davey Crockett launch system, which mounted on the right rear corner of the tub). The forward area does still have two strips of flat metal mounted to the body (above and below the circular indentation on the passenger side) I believe a spare wheel mounting bracket was hung on these strips of metal, which then held the spare. Any idea where I can get the spare tire carrier bracket for this model? Tough finding certain parts for this restoration! Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!
