Just like original cloth covered and coated wiring harness. All made to factory specs and pre-terminated wiring connections most commonly used when your orignal 24 volt system has been converted to 12 volts. Does entire vehicle tip to tail including under dash, engine, brake lights, ect... Uses all proper materials for time period including clamps and covers. Comes complete with wire by wire instructions.

Are there any videos out there showing the installation process for this harness?

No, but it comes with a full set of wiring diagrams and we can assist as well with any specific questions.

I have a 1954 M38A1 that has been concerted to 12v. Is it possible to build one that uses the military light / black out switch? All of the bulbs have been swapped to 12v. Also it has an internal regulated Gm alternator, standard point type ignition. Thanks for your help

If you are asking for a specific harness, we don't do that. But give us a call and we can try to make sure you have what you need.

Does this include connections to the blackout switch?

That would could provide extra wiring for depending on what your using given your voltage.

I have a 71 Kaiser Jeepster commando. Some of the wiring has been hacked and some of it is original. If I tore everything currently in it out, could I completely wire the whole thing with this kit?

You would have to modify this harness to fit the M715 for sure.

Does this come with the connectors to plug into the headlights

For a 57 CJ5 with a ford 289 with a Carter AFB adapted on a stock 3sp tran, the wiring has been hacked heavily ( looks like a hornets nest) I like to replace it with the 12v bring back as close to OEM which one is the best choice? thank you

I have a 51 Willy's wagon with a 76 il6 dropped in it as well as a scout II drive train and ford steering box. I am planning on adding a power steering system at some point in the near future. Haven't decided on which system will be installed yet though. What will be the best harness for me?

Is the cloth covered wire available separately to supplement the "Harness-17" for an M38A1 12-volt system?

Yes, we can sell it by the foot as well.

Does the kit come with fuse block?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, You would have to wire in any fuses if you want them. Willys were less any fuses in 12 volt.

I have a 41 MB but I am installing a 1953 F Head out of an M38A1. What kit do I get? Is there a way to get the engine kit for the F head and the rest for the MB?

You would want a MB harness. Typically, there is not much difference in the wiring for the motor itself when that motor is used.

What gauge size is the wiring harness?

12-16 gauge depending on what it is wiring up.

My 52 m38 has been converted to 12 volt but still has the 3 lever military light switch. I don't see in the pictures the harness that plugs into the back of that switch. Will this harness work for my vehicle?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Youll probably have to convert to a standard headlight control switch part number: 946613 would be the easiest. Then you can still have the 3 lever style switch to keep the military look.

The wiring diagram that came with the harness seems to be missing pages! Can you email to me?

If we have unique requirements for wiring (extra lights relocated signals ext) because the harness is built per order can the harness be made to accommodate these changes

Can you use the original 3 lever light switch with this harness instead of adding pull light switch?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I'm sure its possible but you would have to rewire your original 24 volt turn signal switch.

Does this harness use the original 3-lever military light switch?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
If you are 12 volt then you would probably convert to a push/pull style switch.

Would this wiring harness, identifies what wire goes where? For simple installations? I do have a old directional signal on the column, I do not know if it works or not? Would it be smart to replace with a new one? Trying to get all the lights to work, including the headllghts, brake light and turn signals. Thanks, for your help in this matter. This is for 52 M38A1 (12 Volt system). Respectfully, Jim
