New Custom Made Canvas Summer Top in Olive Drab

Materials and fabrication all done in the USA.

We custom make each one of our tops to order.

All our custom made tops are built to original specs using the proper materials for each vehicle. They go across the top and down the back and feature original webbing and stitching methods used. The sides of the vehicle will remain open.

After placing your order we will both call and email you to get your vehicle specifics. Original top bows are required for install. We sell those separately if you need them as well.

These tops will score you points in shows.

My 89 year old father (Korean War Vet) is converting a 1949 CJ3A with a BLACK VINYL BESTOP to look military. The BESTOP that came with the Willys is in very good condition HOWEVER dad wants an OLIVE DRAB canvas summer top instead> What do I need to purchase for him to make the conversion. Again, the BESTOP is in very good condition. Thank you for your assistance.

I really dont think you will be able to retain that bestop and make it OD green. They only come in black. We do have original bow kits and proper canvas tops if you like in the military style.

I have a CJ2a jeep with a MB windshield and it no longer has a tailgate, the tailgate replace with a steel panel. Will this top work on this jeep. Thanks Gregg

The top in the photo seems to have fasteners and straps toward the front. My 51 M38 does not have this. My top fastens in front with a rod and a channel?

We make them to the vehicle so if you have a M38 then it would have the attachment for your channel.

I have an original top for a 51 M38 with the sides and doors, along with all hardware. The top has shrunk maybe 8-10 inches and no longer fits. Do your tops have the appropriate clips and tries to accept the original doors and sides?

Hi, I just purchased a 54 M38A1 and want to add a summer top. I looked around and looks as if all tie downs are there but I noticed bolts sticking out top of windshield frame. Were these bolts a modification such as a hardtop or are these required for a soft top? Last question, I have the roof bows but are bow rod kit(D1700) required for summer tops? Thanks.

I have a '48 CJ2a The tie down straps on the photo show 1 missing strap on the left, whereas mine has 4 across the tailgate. I see your responses to others that each top is custom to the model, so I assume it would have all the straps for mine. Is that good assumption?

We are restoring a 1961 DKW Munga. Can you fabricate a top for this? The design is similar to Item # K2236. It has open sides and a plastic window. Pretty basic.

I am building a highly modified MB with full Roll Cage. Do you still need "top Bows"? or can I give you measurements of Cage.

I'm not sure how to figure out my Jeep's model or the engine model it has. How can I make certain of the engine model before I order the Overhaul Kit? This much I can tell you the motor is a flat head serial No. 804380W12DP5CUCR The Actual car I believe is a 1946 CJ2, no plate tags on it. It has no glove compartment and has been slightly modified from original thus I am trying to restore it. Gas Tank under the drivers seat and tool box under the passenger's seat. It is a 4 wheel drive soft top

It should just slide out from the side on the M38A1. Fold it over the hood and slide out from the side. Early vehicles used cap stand studs.

My GPW came with a canvas top which has stenciling in big white letters on the aft part stating LEFT HAND DRIVE, NO SIGNALS, MAX SPEED 40MPH. I have to remove these due to local traffic regulations. Can you recommend a product which will remove the paint and not damage the canvas?

If your vehicle is over a certain age you really shouldnt have to. That is a very unusual local law I have never heard of. I would try to get it registered as an antique and you should be fine.

Is this a full cab or half cab? my dads jeep has a Kemco Allsteel Half-Cab which we thought was ugly until we found out they are actually valuable now it looks like a real gem especially since I have yet to see another half-cab designed exactly the same I guess the Kemco steel cab either was not a popular design or other companies could make theirs cheaper...any info would be appreciated
