Questions: Mr. Jim: I have a 57 willys wagon, with 4.88 gears, both front and rear ( Dana )if I use 3.54 gears, will the carrier need to be changed?? is there a complete kit for doing this ?? also on the dana 44 what will it take to match the front drive besides ring and pinion ??? this kit is to include all bearings, shims, and seals for both units..........
Question By: Robert on Jan 1 1970 12:00 AM
Yes you will have trouble matching both front and rear to a 3.54. Your best bet really is part number: SATURN to get more top end.
