Questions: Does this require adjustment or is it bolt on and go? I had my original Carter carburetor rebuilt professionally but once I got it back and bolted it on the engine does not seem to run right at all. It seems to start and idle fine but when you push on the accelerator it starts to mis-fire/stumble/cut out. It had brand new spark plugs, wires, electronic solid state distributor, mechanical fuel pump, complete wiring harness, battery...etc and it still runs kinda crappy when you rev it up a little. I've tried playing with the distributor and adjusting it...seems to help but it still starts to break up/cut out once you rev it up any. Does this seem like a carb issue...maybe its running too lean? Do you think the universal carburetor is better or easier to adjust then then original carter carb?
