That would be a CJ-5. It could be a number of things. Vapor lock, condensor getting hot if its old, ect. Email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can help.

You should have a upper bracket on your Carter to hold the outer cable in place.

They are engine tested and tuned. However each engine is different due to timing and elevation differences so it is common to have to do alittle.

I would do the water test (drain it and see where the bubble are coming out of) then sauder the hole.
