Questions: what is the gear count on this. my fly wheel is a 97 count.
Question By: richard pappa on Feb 5 2021 4:09 AM
If you have a 97 tooth count then you should have a MZ4113 starter with a bendix A17702. The A117341A is for 124 tooth count flywheels with MZ4137 starter.

Questions: have a 49 3a and having trouble with the starter. It has the top switch activated by foot, It engages fine but kicks out after a half turn or so,Have taken the starter apart and it looks good.Does this sound like a drive problem or the switch.

Sounds like either a bendix or flywheel problem. You probably have worn/chipped teeth on this.
