The large hole is a drain and the smaller hole for your 1/4" fuel line is to the fuel pump.

This tank is the correct one to fit into the vehicle. Typically though you have a lock ring style sending unit in that year. That style tank is not available. You have to get sending unit: 914850 then.

These do come painted. There is no reason to coat the inside as long as you use non-ethanol fuel.

I do not personally coat them. I recommend for your fuel system (fuel pump and carburetor) to use non-ethonal fuel though.

No, but they never were originally. Really if you keep them full of fuel or use non-ethanol brand you will never have a problem with tank for decades.

Nobody makes that style tank. So all you need to do is get this tank and part number: 914850 sending unit to match and you will be all set.

The filler spout is attached like original. The sending unit is sold separate. Your old 6 hole sending unit will mount in there properly.

I dont really recomment the fiberglass bodies. As long as it is a properly made Cj-5 body this tank will be correct.
