Questions: Is there a hole in the steering shaft that the horn wire goes through? I cannot figure out how I am supposed to solder this wire.

Don't get it too hot. you don't want the rubber insulation to melt away and create contact.

It is on there tightly and we usually cut them off if you can get it to slide off.

Questions: 1946 Kaiser Willys CJ2A- the grooved insert within the steering wheel is stripped, as is the shaft to receive the wheel. Will this product help me? if not, any suggestions.

The ID is 78". The OD is 1". And the overall length is 7/8". Thanks

It will be very tight going down. A lot of times you will need to take just a tad off the ID of the rubber to get it to go down.
