How tall is this carb, from the base of the throttle body to the top of the air horn?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Overall length is approx 6" like original.

Does carb 900001 come with adjustable external high speed main jet

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, that is correct.

Using an electric fuel pump what should be the fuel pressure be at?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
2-4 psi preferably.

Will this work on a f6 161 engine?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The mounting would be the same so I would think so yes.

Is this a better option than the soles style? I am not having much luck with my solex. Does the fuel pressure need to be reduced with this one?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Just need to have proper fuel pressure in general for either to work. Both are good honestly. Email mike@kaiserwillys.com to help.

Is part # 647789 the air cleaner that works with this carb and does the air cleaner come with the necessary clamps, gaskets etc to mount ? Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes it will and it does come with the clamp as well.

Does this carb out perform the Carter ?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This is going to be as good if not better than when your carter was new from the factory.

Where can I find the accelerator pedal linkage or cable that works on this carburetor. I am working on a 1952 Willys Pickup Truck/.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Salvage yard only. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com

this carb does not have the lip on top for the air horn. Does it just clamp on tight without th lip. Also, any feedback on offroad use? Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You would use a seal and clamp for it.

Hi Mike I have researched the catalog to see 2 carburetor options for’62 F134 Hurricane. Please advise on Solex 923808 option. While watching your video just now I am very interested in the rebuild/refurbished option by KW of my existing carburetor. Is there a means to easily identify whether my existing is original and worth the effort?? Thanks Ric Gerttula 503-791-3535

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Give us a call toll free. Happy to help out and answer any questions between the two.

hi! wich carburetor do you recomend this one ( the universal) or the carter yf that you also sell? And i didnt understand, do you need us to send you the core for rebuild? thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com your vehicle information and we can go over options for you. Thanks!

I haven't found where I can provide feedback, but wanted to tell you that this carb works great. I have struggled with the solex carb for a couple of years and could never get rid of a flat spot on acceleration. I have more power and a good running engine with this one. Thanks - just wish I would have bought it sooner.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Awesome to hear!!!

Where is this made? Can you get rebuild kits for it? Will it work with an electric fuel pump? Do you sell the dry element air filter for it? What is outside diameter of the neck, where air filter slides on? I have a YF964 on my F-Head, which is "too much carb" for it. But it has a slide on dry-element air filter i would like to use. (ALSO, i have a CJ3A, so there's an existing hood bump this carb would need to fit under!) thanks!

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
If you can please email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can help answer all of this.

What gasket do I need for this carburetor?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
648970

Why is this recommended with a dry filter element instead of the factory oil bath filter? Also is this recommended over the slightly cheaper show quality YF you sell? Last, where is this manufactured?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You could use either. But a dry functions a bit better than the original oil bath. I'll check on origin.

Will this fit my 1964 CJ5 with F134 Engine? Also can you measure & tell me the mounting bolts holes location, so i can see if they will line up. I just bought a Omix from Quadratec & the holes were 0.25" off center.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, this is 100% correct for the CJ-5 with the 4-143 F Motor.

I installed this carburetor on my 52 M38A1 and when I tried to start my jeep it almost instantly flooded the engine and I was not able to start it. Do I need to adjust the carburetor? And what should I adjust on it.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can help you out troubleshoot.

I have a 1952 Willys Jeep Pickup. Im restoring this Truck and was wondering will this fit the F 134 Engine 4 Cylinder? What is the warranty on this product? Let me know thanks. Michael

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, this would be proper for you. We have a 5 year warranty on. We dont leave our customers hanging if there is an issue.

Do you have a mounting plate to add a 12000 lb winch to the front of frame and bumper on 1952 M38A1? If not any good ideas of how it Mount it? Any Info would be great Thanks Jerry

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You would have to have that fabricated between your frame rails.

Do I need a throttle cable and a choke cable for this carburator?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You need a choke cable for sure. The throttle is optional.

Will the UNIVERSAL CARBURETOR work on Buick Dauntless 225 V6, in a 1970 CJ-5 Jeep?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, I'm sorry but this is for a 4 cylinder motor only. Thanks

I'm very interested in purchasing this carburetor. However, I would like to know how would I acquire a rebuild kit.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We should be able to get you a rebuild kit for them special order.

how do i use the old air horn on ths carb /or can i use the old air horn? thank you

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The air horn fits right on top of the Carburetor like original. See this diagram below: https://www.kaiserwillys.com/diagram/cj-5-6-diagrams/fuel-exhaust-diagrams/air-cleaner-willys-cj-5-6/air-cleaner-4-134-f-engine Thanks

Is this designed to be a direct replacement for the Carter YF-938 or will there be modifications to fuel line, choke and throttle cables required? I am interested in giving this one a try but would like to not have to make any modifications in case I later decide to go back to my Carter.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes it is a direct fit. You can see our install guide too above.
