good afternoon what is the weight of each hub, thank you

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Approx 7 pounds

I purchased your complete drum brake replacement kit and am now starting on the job. I'm starting with the rear brakes. I got the drums off with some difficulty but they're off. How do I get the hub off? Do I have to use a puller? Please know I am brand new to Jeeps and know nothing about them. Okay, I'm adding to my question. I just watched you video about the hub puller. Here's part two, do I now have to reinstall the brake drum to pull the hub?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The hub and drum would come off with a puller HP600. Depending on vehicle then you could press the studs out with a hydraulic press.

Is this part identical for Dana 41 and 44? I have a cj2a with a Dana 41 transmission, the detail says application Dana 44 and was wondering if this particular part is the same for both models.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I think you mean Dana 41 rear end. Yes, they are the same for D44/41 rear ends.

Can you guys press the lug bolts in prior to shipping?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
That you have to do locally. Hydraulic press, give it plenty of backing.

I have the drums that us a small counter sunk bolt to attach them to the hubs. Some of the bolts were so rusted on I had to drill them out to release the drum. Do I need to replace these bolts or am I good to go with out them?

Willys Tech:
You will want to replace them for sure. They are a local hardware store item.

Will this hub fit 67 jeepster rear axle it looks the same Dana 44

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, you should have a Dana 44.

The Studs in the old drum/hub were swedged in. Is swedging still required with the new hub?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I would recommend it. Have it pressed into place with a hydraulic press.

What is the hole pattern of these hubs?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
5x5.5" like original.

I realize you do not stock for Wagoneers, but will this part work on a 1969 Jeep Wagoneer (Dana 44 with tapered axle)? REAR AXLE WHEEL HUB FITS 46-71 JEEP & WILLYS WITH DANA 41/44 Item # 811351

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I think they are a different hub on that application.

I recently bought a disc brake kit on ebay for the rear dana 41 axle and the seller told me that it will fit both that and the 44 rear. can I fit a 44 hub on the 41 tapered axle shaft so that the kit will work and if not what differences are there between the two axles that I need to know about?

Willys Tech:
I couldnt tell you about something bought off of ebay but the Dana 41/44 rear axles in Willys Jeeps are the same.

How do I remove the rear hub from the axle?

Willys Tech:
You need part number: HP600

Is this for the tappered axle?

Willys Tech:
Yes the Dana 41 and Dana 44 were tapered axles.

Im having problems getting my new hub on the axle far enough to close the gap between the drum and backing plate and on far enough to put the cotter pin through the axle . Any ideas

Willys Tech:
I would double check to make sure you dont have a bent axle shaft.I would also check your wheel bearings and shims as well.

I have a 59 wagon 4WD and need to replace the brakes, having problems removing the hubs from the rear. I have a hub puller but cannot remove the drum is their a certain way to remove the drum or does it all have to be removed at once.

Willys Tech:
You need our part number: HP600 and it will do the trick.

I just received a new hub from you and it has small threaded holes in it and the original does not. what are these for? did I get the right hub?

Willys Tech:
Some later drums that fit this used a counter sunk screw to attach to the hub. Yes this is the correct one for all the vehicles listed above.

I would like to know if the rear hub comes with studs???

Willys Tech:
No these do not come with studs.
