I bought this tank and your fuel line kit for a cj2a. Do you sell the bushing that connects the tank to the fuel line? The fuel line will not screw directly into the tank.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Your original 1/4" fuel line screws right into the tank. Email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can help you.

I have a 53 CJ3A with no bolts for the sending unit. What size bolt/screws are needed?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
See part number: B0305 Thanks!

In the description it says it fits a 1959 cj3b but in vehicles it fits it doesn’t say 1959. Will this work?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It would fit no problem.

I see a few questions about this gas tank working in a M38, 1 answer says it will and a few say it won’t. I am okay with a gap around the filler, so will it work if I am okay with the gap?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, this will for for your M38

I have just acquired a 52 M38-A1. The fuel tank tgatbis in it has a small fuel neck. From what I have seen and the tank on this site shows a big neck. Am I correct. Not sure how to identify. I'm new to willys so all the help is appreciated

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sounds like you dont have a proper tank. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com pictures of your vehicle and of the tank and we can help.

Hello, i have a Willys 1952 CJ3 and I need new fuel tank with all the items. 1. are all the items from the exploded illustration included? Or do I have to order each one separately?2. How much does the steel-fuel-tank weigh?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They are all sold separately. This tank weighs about 20 pounds. Thanks

I have a 1949 CJ3A. My question is about the (2) threaded fittings on the bottom of the tank. One fitting is for the draining of the tank, the other is connects to the fuel line. The fuel tank drain is a threaded plug.(no problem). The other, the fitting that connects to the fuel line is the question. I need to know about that fitting. It seems to be 24 TPI and have an internal flare. I don't want to strip the threads so I need to know some specifics. Thank you.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
When the factory painted those tanks, they had the fittings already in there. Clean up the paint on the threads and it should work out for you. If you need to discuss further, please give us a call.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The larger fitting is a drain plug and the other takes your original 1/4" fuel line.

I have a 1955 Willys CJ-3B. I need a fuel tank with a slanted neck. What is the part number? The only ones I can find are straight neck.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The tanks are all made on the correct angle. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com some pictures of your vehicle and we can help out. Thanks!

Does the tank need, or do you recommend, any treatment/sealer before filling it with fuel for the first time.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We always just make sure to use non ethanol fuel and that nothing has gotten into the tank during shipment

I tried sending this question last week to the public forum, but I haven’t heard anything back. I Purchased this tank and have installed it but no fuel is coming out of the fuel plug. Shouldn’t it be coming out or am I supposed to use the drain plug?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
There is a larger drain plug on the bottom and a port for your 1/4" original fuel line. I would just make sure your fuel line does not have a clog or pinch in it.

Mike, Thanks for the answer. However, I have the metal fuel line from an earlier purchase from Kaiser Willys, but don't want to tackle running it under the vehicle just yet. Doesn't my fuel hose need an adapter with a fluted nipple, like the fuel line? (There is nothing screwed in and no gas is even leaking out of the bottom?) Thanks, Eddie

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, the steel 1/4" fuel line screws directly into the tank like original.

I've purchased this item, but don't know what size adapter I need to get the fuel out. (I'm using a rubber fuel line on my 47 CJ-2A.)

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They originally took a 1/4" fuel line. It will screw right into the tank like original. Thanks!

I bought replacement tank for 46 2-A .. had a friend install , fuel line works great but went to fill and drain plug wasn’t installed what part number or boot fits drain properly It seems to be a strange size ?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They take the original drain plug size. I do believe it was originally a 1/4" pipe thread but will need to confirm.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:

I need to plug the fuel line connector because I'm hooking up a rubber fuel line to where the original drain plug is now. What size and type of bolt do I need to plug the fuel line hole?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It takes a 1/4" fuel line - so your local Napa should be able to cross a plug size.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, see images above of item. It is attached.

what will I need to hold it in

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
A1472K is the hold down strap.
