Questions: will worn out king pin bearings cause very hard steering I have manual steering but even while driving it is a strain to turn the wheel

Questions: when i pulled the knuckles off my front axel off the bottom bearings had two on each side but the top where the steering assembly attaches there was only one. im wondering if the top is also suppose to doubled up. this is for a 41 early slat MB

You should have one cup and one cone (bearing and race) upper and lower. There is one of each per location.

There is one upper and one lower on each side. So 2 per side, 4 per vehicle.
