Where are the springs made?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I am not sure of the country of origin, but they are internationally made. Give us a call and we can try to help you. We do offer USA made springs.

what is the shipping weight on Suspension-2?

I have a 1947 Cj3a and I’m looking for a small lift kit for it. I’m running 31” tires on it now. Are there any options for a 2-4” lift kit? I was thinking about just doing lift shackles and this kit.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
See part number: 802979 and this suspension overhaul kit will get you some lift because your old leaf springs have most likely lost alot of their arch. It sets you back up to stock height. No problem on the 31" tires.

I'm looking to buy the suspension 2 kit for my 52 cj3a wondering if there is something with the 10 leaf front spring to match my original or did they change to 8 for a reason?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We can do the 10 if you like at no extra cost. Call us toll free. Happy to help out.

I have a 1947. Cj2A. Is there a different shackle I could use to substitute in this kit besides the C-shaped shackle

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You need to stick with the C shackles 802061 and 802062 for your vehicle.

Are these leaf springs painted? If not, is it recommended to paint them? If they are, what type of paint is used?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
These are painted but usually need to be repainted due to scuffing during shipping.

I have a 1946 CJ2A VEC with many MB parts (exhaust, rear diffs, etc.) Do I order a spring kit for a 1946 CJ 2A or a MB? Thanks.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Takes the same kit so you would be all set either way.

I discovered I've actually got a CJV35/U which has 10 leaf rear and 11 up front. Do you guys offer anything to keep me near stock? If yes, can those be substituted in the kit?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We can help with 10 up front. Call us toll free. Happy to help out.

If I don't need the shocks in this suspension kit, can I still get it without them and if so what would the price difference be? I currently have some very stiff older 2" Superlift Leaf Springs which I like the ride height but hate the jaw breaking stiffness..

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, we can discount the kit and remove the shocks. Please call us toll free to help.

Can I substitute the m38a1 heavy service shackle in the kit. I understand these will also fit a CJ3A?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes you can. Give us a call toll free and we can set that up for you. Thanks

How do I know if my suspension is sagging? What can I measure? Even if it’s not sagging, is there a spring that will get me maybe an inch or so lift beyond factory height? I can send a pic.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Email and I can see what you have going on and send you pics of my CJ-2A as well to compare.

I purchase your suspension 2 overhaul kit. When mounting the leaf springs is there a front and back of a leaf spring witch way they mount to the vehicle?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
yes, the pivot eye end will accept the bronze bushing by pressing it in and the shackle end will accept the C-shackle bushings by threading it in with a breaker bar. See video as well. Thanks!

Why doesn't the overhaul kit include all the cotter pins? The one I got did not.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I'm sorry they're not in the kit. We do sell them separately though. Here is a link for them below: Thanks

How does the quality of ride for this kit compare the ride of one of your lift kits you offer? I am looking for the smoothest ride possible, if there is such a thing with a Willys.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We have some options on leaf springs. Call us toll free and we can help out. Thanks!

I have a 1948 CJ2A with a small block Chevy. Question 1 Will the 10 leaf front in your restoration kit keep the Shackle perpendicular to the frame ... don't want to loose any height?? Question 2 Will the shocks in your restoration kit keep up with the extra weight of the small block Chevy? Thanks for your help!

Willys Tech:
Yes, the 10 leaf set up and the shocks will be more than adequate for your Jeep.

the Willys CJ2a manual calls for 10 leaf springs on the front and 9 leaf springs on the rear. Do you have these springs available?

Willys Tech:
Sure, we can build this kit with either 10 or 8 leafs in the front.

What is the number of leaf springs for the front and the rear? My CJ3a has 10 in the front and 8 in the rear. Will they be the same number of leafs?

Willys Tech:
We typically do 8 in the front and 9 in rear for the best ride. If you like we can do 10 in the front at no extra cost too.

I have a 1948 CJ2. How difficult is it to remove and install the suspension kits?

Willys Tech:
There is not much to them. If you need help we are here to walk you thru it as well.

Is there a separate spring center bolt?

Willys Tech:
That is pretty much a standard bolt that can be picked up locally if yours is missing.

Would 10 leaf front springs ideal for a koening winch?

Willys Tech:
Yes we can do the kits this way for you as well at no additional cost.

Do the shocks come with the 16 grommets?

Willys Tech:
Yes the shocks will come complete with the grommets.

I have a 49 CJ3A and need to replace suspension. I see you sell the whole suspension kit, do you have something to give a lift. I would to give it a little lift say 2/2.5.

Willys Tech:
You will probably get about 1 to 1.5 lift on this kit because your old leaf springs have most likely lost their arch thru the years and are now flat. This kit is the way to go.

I noticed there are two different spring options for the front of a 1947 CJ2A. Is the 10 leaf option used for after market engines? If I use the 10 leaf option on the original motor, will it make a rougher ride? Also, are the quality of the leaf springs in the overhaul kits the same quality if ordered individually?

Willys Tech:
You can use either the 10 or 8 leaf set up. I typically go with the 8 leaf.

Does this item is the same as the one for the cj3b? i am having problems to figure out what chasis do i have and i need this kit. thanks mike!

Willys Tech:
Yes it is the same.

Do you ship international?

Willys Tech:
Yes we ship daily USPS and UPS international.

I have a 46' CJ-2A, it has a 70's Buick V-6 225 ci, Would these springs hold up to the larger motor? Or is there another option? Thanks

Willys Tech:
We also have a 10 leaf front option. Please call us toll free. We are more than happy to help out.

I bought this Suspension kit from you. How do I remove the bushing on the leaf springs to install the new Shackle kit ? thanks.

Willys Tech:
The easiest way is to take a socket that is the size of the bushing on one end of the leaf spring. Take a larger socket on the other side that is the size of the leaf spring. Put into a vise and squeeze alittle. The smaller socket will push the bushing into the larger socket. It will just fall in with little effort.

Do the Shock Absorbers come complete with bushings, Thanks,

Willys Tech:
Yes, they come complete with bushings

How much is shipping to 81601
