We have a 63 Willys wagon with a 64 ford 289 installed and are running a 12 volt battery with MSD electronic ignition. Will this work or will be have go back to an original distributor?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This is a loaded question. Obviously some connectors would need to be switched out. Will it 100% work out of the box, I have no idea. But could you make it work, probably. Give us a call and maybe we can discuss it further.

Does the harness come with a new fuse block and does it use more current ATC style fuses or old glass fuses ?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Willys never used fuses originally. You would need to wire in fuses if you would like them.

What is the gauge and makeup of the wire in the HARNESS-08 kit? Also, does the kit include wires for the add-on turn signal?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The wire is between 12-16 gauge depending on location of wire. Yes, it will have a provision for you to wire your turn signal kit wiring to it.

I happen to have a wire harness for a 52-64 williys wagon Harness 08 . things changed and i did not use it. i am dong a 60 cj5 can i use this harness on the cj5 without to many modifications

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They are not the same harness in lengths and pre-terminations. But you could modify it fit in most areas Im sure.

Will this harness fit my 1958 station wagon with turn signals and the 226 hurricane motor?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, this is the correct one for your vehicle and motor. Thanks

My 1963 Willys Station Wagon has a transplant GM V6 engine. Does the wiring harness work with that transplant engine?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The harnesses are made to factory spec all pre termined like original. You may just have to change out an end connection or two to set up for the motor.

Hello, do the pistons, ring, bearing and rod bearing came in standar size? because I see all start on .20

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, you can select those at checkout. See the drop down box. We carry all sizes for it. Scroll down for STD.

Is it possible to get just the wire by wire instructions?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They are specific to our harnesses. We are happy to answer any specific questions though. Please email

can I change from a 6volt system to a 12 volt system? will the current hardware work and just change the bulbs to 12 volt. does it affect the distributor or starter? I am aware that I will replace the generator with an alternator.

Willys Tech:
You will want to get part number: ALT12V and our 12 volt coil. The starter will be ok for a while but will eventually burn out. We have new 12 volt hi-torque starters too. The distributor will be fine.

Does the harness include the horn wire through the steering column

Willys Tech:
Yes it will have the wiring there.

Can this harness be installed without taking apart the vehicle?

Willys Tech:
There is no need to take apart anything. Just run the wiring.
