Do you know if this fits the Skinner OEM fuel filter? We measure the existing element as 1.235 inches outside diameter x 1660 inches length with a 1.040 inch Inner Diameter hole.

Do you need the original spring? I have the original filter but the spring is gone. I'm assuming this is pushed up against the lid by the spring? An how do you remove the old screen system?
