Do you have to change out the threaded shackle bracket to use these and if so does a CJ5 threadless bracket fit the frame of the CJ 3B?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Really if your threaded style you have to stick with it. If unthreaded style you have to stay with that.

Will these fit a 1973 CJ5 Base 5.0L? What size are the greasable bolts?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, these should fit thru 1975

I broke the end off of the grease fitting and am not abe to find one that fits. They seem to be a pipe thread. Went to a local nut & bolt store they said it's a 3/8 pipe thread but can't get over half a thread. What comes with the kit thread right in to the bottom and no resistance like they are not tapped for pipe thread. tryed 3/8 and 10 mil. streight thread and the same thing. Any ideas ??

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We should have some. Please email on.

What is the recommended torque for your greasable spring shackle? (‘68 CJ5)

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You can use this one as a heavy duty shackle or 802061 & 802062 for the standard shackles. Thanks

I have a 1953 CJ3B, will these work on my springs?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
928764 is a good heavy duty option for your CJ-3B

I purchased these for my 70 CJ5. Do I take out the rubber bushings and use the brass one that come in the kit? Or did I order the wrong thing

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You would just use the bushings with the shackle. Please email if you have any questions. Thanks!

My M38A1 had no suspension on it when I got it, so I have nothing to base my purchases upon. Do these require springs that have no bushings in them? Or springs with a specific bushing already installed?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
928764 would be the proper shackle for your M38A1. It comes with bushings complete.

i have a 42 mb and ordered the 2.5 lift springs from rancho. Do I still use the c shackles or what?

Willys Tech:
Rancho doesn't make a proper kit for the MB to my knowledge.

Are these shackles greasable

Willys Tech:
Yes these are greasable

Do the flat washers go on the inside (against the ends of the bushing) or on the outside of the side plates (under the bolt head and nut)? Thanks again. John

Willys Tech:
On the outside
