Questions: Should the shock stud be threaded? The old ones in my cj2a are not and looking at the diagrams, doesn't show thread either.

Originally they were not threaded. But the later threaded style will work just fine too. They accept the same U-bolts.

Yes, that is for the 46-64 Station Wagon 4x4 and 55-64 Station wagon 2x4.
