Questions: Why does the driver’s side tail light show a transparent part on the lower back side, but the passenger’s side tail light doesn’t? Can I purchase 2 passenger’s side tail lights instead or does it necessarily have to be one of each?

Yes, it has a dual filament bulb in it.

912227 is the opposite side. Chrome you can try part numbers: 801157 & 801158

They will fit in the hole but we do sell the proper blackouts for the MB as well part number: A1065. Yes they are 6 volt. To make 12 you just need to swap the bulb out.
