I have a 48 CJ2A that this part is not currently on. Does the tub have to be uninstalled or the engine removed to bolt this on? There is very limited space between the block and the firewall - about an 1 - 1-1/4 at best.

You should be able to get it in from the side. I think there is just enough room.

Do you carry the connecting shaft that goes through this to connect the gas pedal to the carb Linkage?
