What's is the size of the disc brake. i ordered this kit yeas back and lost the paperwork that gave me the parts list and im looking to replace my front disc's

Willys Jeep Parts Tech.:
Rotors: 11-5/8"

Will aftermarket 15" wheel fit after install?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Most aftermarket rims they make nowadays do clear disc brakes. Worse case you just use a thin wheel spacer.

Will Part # 376895 work on the straight axle on a 51 two wheel drive truck?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
These are for 4WD vehicles only.

Will teh 16 inch rims you sell clear this kit? I installed the disk convertion last fall but never tried to put the rims/tires back on until today and there is no way the stock 15 inch ones will fit. Unless I swap out lugs and use a spacer but not a big fan of spacers. Heard too many horror stories. Just glad I did not buy new tires for the rims i currently have! Thanks in advance,

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
We recommend using aftermarket rims with our disc conversion kits. There will be some grinding that would be necessary if you use original rims. But the best way is to go with aftermarket rims.

When converting over to disc brakes, both front and back. What brake line kit do you convert to?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The lines youll have to modify / make to port to each wheel.

Hi, with the complete front disc brake kit item # 376895 , do we have to change the original master cylinder? thx

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, youll need to go to a dual reservoir master cylinder with adjustable proportioning valve. We have a kit for you as well.

I installed this front disc conversion on my 1957 CJ 5 and I was wondering if the left side was supposed to have left hand lug bolts and nuts. I am noticing that my rear drum brakes have left handed threads and require left handed lug nuts.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Some people convert to all RH thread and some will stay LH and RH set ups.

hey i need brakes 1965 jeep fj6a fleet van dont care if its just shoes our will these conversion kits work?????? please help asap

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sorry, these are for 4x4 vehicles only. Email mike@kaiserwillys.com to help.

I have a '66 CJ5. After installing your kit, should I be installing a adjustable proportioning valve?

Can the round dust guards that bolt on just begin the hub be purchased separately? These are the cup like ones that on the outside of the caliper bracket ? Mine are not in good shape and I would like to replace ? Thanks .

I have 1956 Jeep CJ5 and I want to do front disc brake conversion will my current wheels and original wheels?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You will most likely have to go to an aftermarket rim or just use a small wheel spacer.

I purchased both front and rear disc brake kits for 51 Wagon. I want to use stock 16" steel wheels. Will 1.25" spacers (part 11302) work for both front and rear discs to fit stock wheels? Also, will rear wheels have clearance for fenders with a 1.25" spacer? Thank You

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, those spacers will be more than enough to clear it and work for you.

I have a 48 Cj2a. After reading all the questions and answers about wheels and spacers - can I use my original wheels with a spacer? And do you sell the spacer? About how much farther will the wheel be out with spacer.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, you can use your original wheels with a spacer for these kits. You just need to clear the caliper.

M y 58 m38a1 has disc (bought that way) but I have a high hard pedal any Ideas??

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You may need to adjust the proportioning valve assuming that someone installed one on your vehicle.

Well, can't use the original wheels with the disk brake upgrade. Calipers hit the rim. Two questions: (a) can you recommend an after-market wheel that will work with the new brakes? and (b) If I put spacers on the front wheels I have to put spacers on the back wheels as well, no? Any issue with the rear wheels rubbing the fender? Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Any aftermarket rim they make would work because they will clear disc brakes. Make sure they are flush mount. You need to be able to clear Rotors: 11-5/8" and have a back spacing of 1/2" - 5/8". Make sure your center hole is 4.25" to clear the hub.
