I ordered 640694 sending unit. I am restoring a 59 DJ3A. The tank is in the rear and the unit I ordered is not the right one. How long is the arm on #914849? The one I took out is a 6 hole unit. it has a cork float and the arm length is 8 inches from the bend point to the center of the float. Any suggestions?

Can the ohms on this sending unit to adjusted to have accurate readings for an after-market gas tank?

No sorry, OHMs cant be adjusted. You can adjust the tabs that the arm bottoms out on however to get inside a range and fine tune
