I have a 59 Willys CJ-5 that I had to remove the headlight buckets for a larger radiator. Will these brackets work for my headlights on my CJ-5 ?

They are smaller, im sure they could be modified to fit.

Headlamp assemblies will not center in the openings, sit too high. Any ideas as to what I am not doing correctly?

Make sure you have the proper bracket on the appropriate side. They are LH/RH. Also from the factory they never really lined up perfectly.
