I am a bit confused. I am redoing a 1947 CJ2A and pulled the oil pan off. Looking up from the bottom I can see the timing chain on the front of the engine. The years given above show 41 - 46. I don't see anything about a 1947. Any help would be appreciated.

You probability have a 46 titled as a 47 but I do think there may have been some really early 47 with chain. We always just recommend for people to check it no matter what the year on a 2a just in case.
